Their free starter package is flexible and has a wide selection of basic templates which you can use to lay out your site and adapt if needed.

They provide 1GB of storage space, unlimited pages and you can set up 5 different sites. Ideal if you want to have a number of sites for specific projects, installations, exhibitions or events you are involved with.

If you would rather not have their credit line ("Make a free website with Yola") at the bottom of your site, you can upgrade to their Silver Package for $99.95 per year (about £64.00). For that you can set up 25 sites, have 5 GB of storage, one free custom domain name, unlimited use of premium style template as well as credits for stock photography, Yahoo search marketing credit, Facebook adversiting credit, premium phone support and more other 'bells and whistles'.

We tested this service out using the free option, found it to be simple and effective and upgraded to the Silver version. If you set up all 25 sites - get together with friends so you can all have one - the cost per site, per year, is around £2.60!  Now that has to be a bargain in anyone's books!
