Online Portfolios
Having your own website is a useful and practical way of promoting yourself to a global audience but perhaps you don’t have the time to get that organised right now.
Make life simple and set up an online portfolio instead. There is a wide selection of sites which will let you do this for free in a matter of minutes. They give you a place to be seen on the web, you don’t need any technical knowledge and, with many, you will become part of a like-minded community of art professionals.
Set one up now - and then, when you have more time, set up your own website (also for free), so that you can include more information. You can always link one to the other.
Where possible, we list free services to save you money, but there are also a number of paid-for portfolio services which may be perfect for your work. You can view a selection of those here.

Exhibbit - Your own 3-D gallery space online. There is much chatter about online galleries and portfolios - many of the really great ones are tested and listed here on WeLikeArtists, but this one is a little different.
Crevado - is a portfolio site aimed specifically at artists and provides users with an entirely free, online, portfolio to showcase images of work in a clean and sophisticated presentation.
Behance - promotes itself as "...the world's leading platform for creative professionals across all industries" and they offer an elegant platform for you to be seen.
Saatchi Online - is a massive site with millions of visitors each day. They offer a free portfolio service for anyone who fancies having some of their work online and being ‘associated’ with the Saatchi name!
BetweenCreation - is a beautifully designed site which offers free portfolios and the chance to have your work seen within their social network.
Artslant - was launched in February 2007 and has developed into an interesting contemporary art network which lists and promotes events on a city-by-city basis.
Carbonmade - allows you to set up a clean, elegant, online portfolio and split your work into different 'projects' with minimum fuss.
Artshole - claims to be the UK's largest online art gallery with over 2,500 artist profiles and attracting over half a million individual visitors each month.
